Velkommen til Parat Luftfart! Vi er i dag den største bransjeorganisasjonen i norsk luftfart og vokser stadig. Parat Luftfart er tilsluttet Parat / YS  (Yrkesorganisasjonenes Sentralforbund) og derigjennom den Nordiske, Europeiske og Internasjonale Transportarbeiderføderasjonen (NTF, ETF, ITF). Vi har 3700 medlemmer innenfor luftfartsindustrien. Sammen med tung fagkompetanse i Parats sekretariat jobber vi for å ivareta og bedre medlemmenes vilkår. I tillegg til kabinpersonell og piloter organiserer vi stuere, teknikere, trafikkassistenter, funksjonærer, renholdsarbeidere, sikkerhetskontrollører og cateringpersonell. Medlemmene er spredd på mer enn 20 selskap; de aller fleste med tariffavtale.

Turkish Airlines announces a commercial cooperation agreement with Air Canada…
Turkish a330Turkish Airlines is pleased to announce that a commercial cooperation agreement has been reached between Turkish Airlines and Air Canada. The agreement will enable domestic Canadian flights to directly connect to Turkish Airlines itineraries to or beyond Turkey and for THY originating passengers to continue their journey with Air Canada domestic flights.

Norwegian A320( Aftenposten ) Norwegian kjemper mot at bonuspoengene skal gjeninnføres i Norge. Nå antyder selskapet at de i så fall vil kutte ut ruter i Nord-Norge.  Regjeringen skal i løpet av høsten avgjøre om det igjen skal bli mulig å opptjene bonuspoeng på norsk innenriks. SAS er for, mens Norwegain er mot. Nå sier Bjørn Kjos at prisen for innføring av bonus vil føre til færre Norwegian-ruter i Norge.
 
New High Rolling Route From Gatwick.
British AirwaysBritish Airways is launching another new high rolling route from Gatwick with the start of services to Las Vegas from October 29 this year. The three-times-a-week service will be operated by a three-cabin Boeing 777 offering a premium Club World cabin with fully flat beds.
 
Ryanair Cuts All Rhodes & Kos Flights From October 2012 As Ministry Of Tourism Reneges On Promotion Agreement.
Ryanair B737 Ryanair , the world’s favourite airline, today (17 May) confirmed the early cancelation of 82 weekly flights to Rhodes and Kos, after DETAP and the Mayor of Kos failed to honour an agreed joint marketing campaign with Ryanair to promote Ryanair’s Rhodes and Kos routes this summer.
 
United Pilots' Union Calls For Strike Vote.
United new_livery4Pilots' union leaders at United Continental, parent of United Airlines, called on Thursday for its members to hold a strike vote after failing to agree a contract after two years of talks with management. The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), which represents pilots who flew for what were United and Continental before the two merged in 2010, did not set a date for a vote.

In the absence of a global standard governing accessibility for passengers with disabilities, new regulations threaten to further confuse matters.
Rullestol( IATA ) Passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) and other disabilities must have equal or equivalent access to the services available to the general public. It is equally clear that airlines will need to absorb the costs within their business models. What isn’t straightforward is the effect of increasing regulation. There are no global standards (see panel). Regulations in the European Union (EU) are different from those in North America. Other countries have no specific regulations at all. This can be confusing for the PRM as well as for airlines and airport operators.

Berlin airport opening delayed to March.

Manfred Koertgen, the airport's managing director for technical issues, has been sacked and will leave the role on June 1, Berlin mayor Klaus Wowereit told reporters on Thursday.
 
Lufthansa To Focus On Cost Cuts Before Deals.

Ryanair threatens to pull out of Norway.

The Norwegian tax authorities have expressed an interest in learning more about some 30 Ryanair pilots who are resident in Norway, business newspaper Finansavisen reports. “We’re an Irish company and we pay tax in Ireland. We’ll never accept having to pay tax to another high-cost country,” Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary told reporters at Rygge Airport, 60 kilometres outside Oslo, skriver The Local .
